Project Lemonade 2021 - Stomping Out ALL Cancers!
Project Lemonade 2021 "Stomping Out All Cancers" is the follow-up campaign to Anna Jaeger's wildly successful 2020 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Man & Woman of the Year campaign. This year the focus is broader. The money that the campaign raises not only funds new blood cancer therapies, but also therapies for other types of cancers. LLS's research is focused on leukemia and lymphoma, but many new drugs have proven themselves as viable treatments for non-blood cancers.
This year, Project Lemonade's goal is to raise $10,000 to fight cancer. Will you support us with a donation?
Project Lemonade 2020 was originally a team of people working to raise the most money for the 2020 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Man & Woman of the Year campaign for candidate Anna Jaeger. Anna lost her brother David in 2012 after a lifetime of Aplastic Anemia which, at age 37, gave way to a fast and furious battle with Leukemia. She had wanted to do something at the time; had wanted something good to come out of those worst days. But life, kids and responsibilities got in the way. When she was asked to run for Woman of the Year, she accepted the challenge. The spirit of the campaign was to see something positive in a terrible situation. Dave lived 25 years of his life with compromised health (lemons), but managed to see the best in every situation (lemonade). In the 10 weeks between May 7 and July 18, 2020, in the midst of a global pandemic (more lemons), the Project Lemonade Team raised OVER $370,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (huge lemonade!) in the hopes that we would soon see a day without blood cancers (lemonade). It was hard, and a little bitter. But it was also amazingly sweet! Project Lemonade!!
